why rise & shine?
Hi there! My name is Andrea and I am the owner of San Diego's newest family community center and indoor play space, Rise & Shine Play. My motherhood journey has probably been very similar to yours; full of new experiences day in and day out - both happy and sad, lonely and fulfilled. After I had my fourth baby in 5 years, you'd think I would have it all figured out, but the only difference is slightly less panic googling and already having a village in place. Over the past six years of motherhood I can truly attest to the importance of having that village, and that's exactly why I want to bring Rise & Shine Play to caregivers in San Diego.
Rise & Shine Play is a place to gather, a place to play and a place to call home!

I am an east coast girl who landed in San Diego in 2013 and never looked back. I absolutely love it here and feel so lucky to call Point Loma home. When I'm not tending to my 5th baby, Rise & Shine Play, you can find me cheering on my boys at their little league games, oohing and ahing over my little girl's newest milestones and if I'm lucky, finding some time to catch up on my Bravo shows!

There's a good chance you'll be seeing these faces around Rise & Shine Play, so you might as well meet them now! My husband Corey, sons Leo (6), Max (5) and Jack (3) and little Mia girl (1). The whole family is excited to create this community and looking forward to meeting you all! Although if you happen to catch them on a bad day, pretend they’re not mine ;)
